Thigh Lift Las Vegas - Dr. Nitin Engineer

How is a thigh lift performed?

Your thigh lift in Las Vegas by Dr. Engineer will be performed under general anesthesia. There are several types of thigh lifts that may be done depending on your unique physical needs, and each have different incision points. Dr. Engineer will usually make the incision either at the top of the leg, about at the lower edge of your underwear line, or from the groin to the crease of the buttock.

Inner thigh lift

An inner thigh lift tightens the skin of the upper inner thighs, lifts the tissues, and firms your thighs. This procedure can be an effective way to attain the much sought-after “thigh gap.”

Vertical thighplasty

During a vertical thighplasty, your Dr. Engineer will remove excess skin and fat and create a smoother contour of the entire inner thigh.

Outer thigh lift

This procedure is done to accomplish the goal of removing excess sagging skin and fat from the outer thighs. Dr. Engineer will need to make a longer incision to achieve this, from the middle thigh to the knee. However, this procedure is highly effective. During the outer thigh lift, the entire thigh and buttock may be lifted. Excess fat and skin are then removed to improve the appearance of the thigh.

After the procedure, Dr. Engineer will use deep sutures to ensure that there is no sagging after the incisions heal. Drains will be put in place that allow excess fluid to drain after surgery, and these will be removed after several days.

Recovery from a thigh lift

Recovery time will vary based on which thigh lift procedure was done. There will be bruising and swelling, which will take about a month to dissipate completely. Rest as much as possible and keep your legs elevated.

You will need 1-2 weeks off of work to heal and recover. Don’t do any heavy lifting or strenuous exercise until 4-6 weeks have passed and you have a go-ahead from Dr. Engineer.

Once you heal, there will be visible scars from the incisions. For the most part, these should not be very noticeable to other people. Dr. Engineer does everything he can to make these scars as inconspicuous as possible.

You will notice your thigh lift results almost immediately. However, you will still need to heal fully to see what the final results look like. This may take several months. At that point, you will be able to fully enjoy smoother, tighter skin and firmer, contoured thighs. These results are long-lasting, only changing slowly over time as you age. But be sure to maintain a stable weight and general fitness to ensure the results last.
