Interested in rejuvenating your skin and reversing course on the obvious signs of facial aging? Belotero is one of the best dermal fillers for treating these facial wrinkles and creases.

Deep facial folds and wrinkles, large laugh lines, and prominent nasolabial folds can affect us all as we age. The components that keep out skin naturally youthful and give us a beautiful complexion fade away with aging and exposure to the environment. Our bodies produce less collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

What is Belotero?

Belotero in Las Vegas is an injectable dermal filler with a base of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring, biocompatible gel that binds with water to make your skin appear smooth, supple and youthful. It appears this way because it is this way: HA is a key component of healthy, youthful skin.

Because Belotero replenishes the key nutrients that we begin to lose as we age, treatment sessions lead to results that look and feel very natural. Its smooth consistency allows it to blend with the skin’s natural structure. Belotero’s HA base makes it very effective at treating the lines, folds and loss of volume that plagues us as we age.

What does Belotero treat?

Belotero is primarily used to add volume and suppleness to the face, and to treat moderate to severe facial folds, lines and wrinkles, including:

  • Laugh lines
  • Nasolabial folds
  • Marionette lines
  • Purse string wrinkles

Belotero Candidacy

Belotero is an FDA approved dermal filler, indicated for the correction of moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. The treatment is well suited to most adult patients with moderate to severe wrinkles and folds. Patients who may not be suitable for the treatment include those who:

  • Are under the age of 18
  • Are currently pregnant or nursing
  • Have severe allergies and are allergic to gram-positive bacterial proteins

What to expect in treatment

Treatment begins with a personal consultation, wherein we will discuss your cosmetic concerns and your goals for the procedure. We’ll want to be sure your expectations can be met with Belotero, or with it and a complementing treatment.

Belotero itself contains the anesthetic lidocaine, so treatment causes little to no discomfort. For patients particularly concerned, a topical numbing cream can also be applied.

A special pen is used to mark out exactly where the Belotero injections will be made for the most natural outcome possible that tackles your concerns. The face is also cleaned with an antiseptic solution prior to injections.

Belotero is then placed at the injection sites with a very fine needle, and the area is gently massaged to spread the filler evenly. Depending on the number of injections required, the Belotero treatment session will conclude in 15 to 30 minutes.

Recovery after Belotero

Belotero patients can return to work and/or many of their social activities immediately post procedure. There is no downtime required after the procedure. However, it’s also important to be aware of the fact some patients may develop slight swelling, pinkess or redness at injection sites, and possible bruising. If these side effects are experienced, they will naturally disappear within 24 to 48 hours. Patients should refrain from direct sun exposure and from alcohol consumption for 24 to 48 hours after the procedure.

You’ll notice immediate improvements, with continued improvements over the next several weeks, with the final results lasting as long as 12 to 18 months.
