How fat graft breast augmentation works

Breast augmentation uses fat that has been liposuctioned from other areas of the body in order to increase the size and improve the shape of the breasts. In addition to the primary purpose of the procedure, patients also receive an additional perk: they will first receive liposuction on targeted areas, which will improve the overall contour and tone of the body.

Once the fat has been removed, the fat graft breast augmentation truly begins. First, Dr. Engineer will purify the fat, preparing it for safe reinjection into the body. He then artfully injects this purified fat into the breasts, increasing fullness and improving shape. Because this procedure uses no foreign substances, the breasts will look and feel completely natural.

As a note, the body will resorb some of the injected fat, processing it out of the body. In general, patients can expect that 50% to 70% of the injected fat will take hold for life. Dr. Engineer will cover this aspect in further detail during your initial Las Vegas fat graft breast augmentation consultation.

Could fat graft breast augmentation be the best choice for you?

While the main goal of fat graft breast augmentation is to increase fullness and enhance shape, a breast lift may also be necessary if your breasts are sagging or drooping due to age, pregnancy, or a significant weight loss. Fat graft breast augmentation is not a weight loss solution. Instead, it is an excellent option for those who are maintaining a healthy weight, but still desire a leaner silhouette through the removal of smaller fat pockets, while also enhancing the fullness of their bust.

Because a fat graft breast augmentation requires the removal of excess fat from other areas of the body, a patient who is particularly lean may not be a good candidate. Fat graft breast augmentation may be performed on its own or in addition to the use of implants to increase size and attain a more aesthetically pleasing shape.
